As an ethical vegan my belief is that, beyond our responsibility to do no harm to animals, it is our obligation to provide for our dependent companion animals, with loving homes, quality food, a mutually trusting relationship, and a knowledgeable compassionate person to care for them when we their guardians have to be away.
